North Pole

The Geographic North Pole, is literally the top of the Earth, the northernmost point on the planet, and the center of the Northern Hemisphere.

The North Pole is believed to be the home to flying reindeer and toy-making elves. Canada's postal service claims itself among these believers, giving the postal code HOH OHO to letters addressed to Santa at the North Pole.

Santa’s Workshop

The home and workplace for Santa Claus and his elves. Generally believed to be somewhere on the North Pole. Some people in the United Kingdom and Finland believe that the Workshop is located in Finland in Korvatunturi, Lapland.

Island of Misfit Toys

From the 1966 Rankin and Bass classic TV show “Rudolph the Rednose Reindeer”. The Island is refuge for unwanted toys with unconventional features. Rudolph and Hermey visit the island on their journey but cannot stay because it is not appropriate for them to live among toys. In the end Rudolph returns with his blizzard-defying beacon to pick up the toys for placement with children of eclectic taste.

Gingerbread Lane

The Lower East Side’s Essex Market hosts the world’s largest gingerbread village, as determined by Guinness World Records. Creator and chef Jon Lovitch drafts, designs, bakes and constructs 1,500 homemade gingerbread houses made of edible gingerbread, royal icing and candy.

Bethlehem, PA

Christmas in Bethlehem is central to the city’s identity. From the first documented decorated Christmas tree in America to the efforts of the Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce to get Bethlehem nicknamed “Christmas City USA” During the holidays both sides of the river boast Christmas markets filled with artisan craft, retail and food vendors.

Selfridges

Selfridges is London’s most famed department store. It’s Christmas Shop is a 4,000 square foot destination where customers can enjoy the Christmas spirit and select from a huge range of decorations, cards, wrap, crackers, stocking fillers, lights and trees. The Shop boasts a total of 1,300 ornaments from traditional baubles to foodie decorations and kitsch must-haves as well as 10 Selfridges icons.

In the 2003 movie, Love Actually, Harry’s infamous necklace buy for his assistant Mia takes place at Selfridges.

Nakatomi Plaza

Nakatomi Plaza is the location of the 1988 movie Diehard. On Christmas Eve, a group of terrorists led by Hans Gruber took the Nakatomi employees hostage during their Christmas party. John McClane, an off-duty NYPD officer that came to LA to spend Christmas with his estranged wife and children, managed to slip away from the terrorists and hide in the top five floors of the building, starting a one-man war with the terrorists, destroying much of the building in the process.

Bedford Falls

The fictional location of the 1946 classic movie “It’s a wonderful Life”. On Christmas Eve George Bailey contemplates suicide. The prayers of his family and friends reach Heaven, where guardian angel second class Clarence Odbody is assigned to save George by showing him what the town would be like if if George had never been born.

Mt Crumpit

From the 1966 TV Special and based on the book, “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”. Mount Crumpit is a mountain high above and to the north of Whoville. The Grinch — who hates Christmas — and his dog Max both reside there. The Grinch, attempts to stop Christmas from coming to the Whos’ below.

Whoville

Whoville, is a fictional town created by Dr. Seuss in the 1957 book How the Grinch Stole Christmas! And comes to life in the classic 1966 TV Special. The Whos’ love Christmas and gather on Christmas morning to hold hands and sing despite the Grinch’s efforts to Stop Christmas from coming.

Holiday Inn

a 1942 American musical film starring Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire, with music by Irving Berlin — the best known song being "White Christmas".

The Land of Sweets

From 1892 ballet “The Nutcracker” by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. The ballet is set on Christmas Eve at the foot of a Christmas tree in a child's imagination. In Act II, Clara and the Prince travel to the beautiful Land of Sweets, ruled by the Sugar Plum Fairy In honor of the young heroine, a celebration of sweets from around the world takes place.

Evergreen. VT

"Christmas in Evergreen," a Hallmark Channel trilogy, features a fictional Vermont town that's famous for a magical snow globe that can grant Christmas wishes.

The series captures the nostalgia and sweetness that popular culture associates with Vermont.

Rockefeller Plaza

A perennial Christmas destination in midtown Manhatten for locals and tourists. Featuring the large Christmas tree — a tradition since 1933. It is also home to the ice rink at Rockefeller Center.

Plaza Hotel

New York's Iconic Luxury Hotel on Central Park South. It is featured prominently in the 1992 film Home Alone 2. Snarky youth Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) mistakenly gets on a plane headed for New York City — while the rest of the McCallisters fly to Florida. Alone in the Big Apple, Kevin cons his way into a room at the Plaza.

Home to Macy’s Department store in New York. It is also a pivital location in the Classic 1947 movie “Miracle on 34th Street”

Times Square

Every year as the clock nears midnight on December 31st, the eyes of the world turn to the dazzling lights and bustling energy of Times Square. Revelers watch the famous ball drop at the stroke of midnight to ring in the New Year.
